Pirana Hardware / Operating System Requirements
This information is intended as a reasonable guideline only. The actual hardware requirement necessary to attain satisfactory performance is influenced by many external factors, such as other applications running on the same infrastructure.

Pirana CMMS: Deployment
Pirana CMMS software is a web server application that can be deployed across the internet, across your work network, or if required on a standalone PC. Pirana is accessed via a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Internet Information Services (IIS) is required to install and configure Pirana CMMS.
Supported Operating Systems
For national/multinational LAN/WAN/Internet deployment supporting 10 to 100s of concurrent users we recommend
• MS Windows 2008 Server (All editions including x64)
• MS Windows 2003 Server (All editions including x64)
For standalone/small office deployment between 1 and 10 concurrent Pirana users the following operating systems are also supported:
• MS Windows 7 (All editions)
• MS Windows Vista (Business/Ultimate editions)
• MS Windows XP Pro / Media Edition SP2
Hardware Specification
The performance of the system will be affected by the specification of the computer on which it is operated.
The software may function on a computer with a slightly lower specification than those recommended. However, it is likely that performance will be impaired.
To get the best possible performance from your Pirana CMMS software, it's important to check that your Pirana application server meets the minimum requirements of the software and, where possible, the optimum requirements.
Pirana SQL Database
Pirana CMMS database can be deployed on an existing 2005/2008/x64 SQL Server. Pirana is provided with SQL Server Express edition for those without an existing SQL Server.
Hardware Virtualisation
Your Pirana application server can be virtualised.

Optimum Requirements
• 3GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent Processor
• 4GB RAM
• At least 10GB of free disk space after operating system installation
• 1Gbps network card and switches
Minimum Requirements (Sufficient for standalone/small office deployment)
• At least 2GHz Pentium 3 or equivalent Processor
• At least 2GB RAM
• At least 10GB of free disk space after operating system installation
•100Mbps network card and switches
•1024x768 screen resolution
